Note From Brian___________________
Ben Franklin once said, “Motivation is what gets you started,
habit keeps you going.”
But for some reason, there are some individuals that are AFRAID
of either keeping a good habit, or quitting a bad one. Both afraid
of failure and afraid of success, either way, they stay motionless
on our planet like a hidden pond without one single ripple. . .
they just settle for mediocrity.
Earl Woods, father of Tiger Woods passed away last year from cancer.
Unfortunately the cigarettes that he couldn’t quit ended up
taking his life. . . a true heart breaker for his family and community.
You see, everyone makes mistakes. And some, are afraid of being
judged only by our mistakes, not our intentions or success. If this
was the case for all of us. . . WE ARE ALL SCHMUCKS. But, the good
news is, most of us are not judged by our mistakes, as the saying
goes, “It’s not how many times you fall, it’s
how many times you get back up.”
Earl Woods was NOT a small hidden pond without any ripples, in fact,
he was quite the opposite. The legacy of his morals, beliefs, philosophy,
and love have passed through his family and has already created
ripples, no more like waves, that have truly touched and inspired
the lives of millions. Not only did he raise one of the world’s
best golfers who brings home millions of dollars, but also finds
it in himself to donate millions to helping others.
For Tiger Woods, golfing is a full time job – just like
both you and I have. If we do our best, we can also stand up and
shout out with joy and fill our chest with pride, because we too
can create ripples that affect someone somewhere. Maybe not with
monetary value, but with the honor, integrity, respect, and kindness
that we all shed on the world. If you do your job right, our children
will fill our chests with Joy everyday of their lives because of
the ripple that YOU created!
Don’t be afraid of failure, don’t be afraid of success,
and don’t be afraid of being judged by your mistakes!!! Kindness
is a disease that can infect everyone. It doesn’t matter if
you are rich, poor, young, or old, you too can change the world
with small Random Acts of Kindness!!!

One Small Act of Kindness___________________
Janine Wallace – Huntington Beach, Ca.
Today, I was in line for the parking garage at the convention center.
The one line was a not moving, so I moved my car over one lane.
Then, a girl pops out of the car and walks to the car behind her
and says, "Can you give me $12 for parking and I will write
you a check? They only take cash; otherwise, I will need you to
back up so I can get out." They didn't help her.
They were a little confused at first, they thought she worked for
the garage. After a few attempts. She walked defeated to her car.
I had just paid and yelled, "Do you need money?" She said,
"yes, I will write you a check." I said, "here is
a $20 just bring back the change and pay it forward. I do not want
a check"
I pulled to the side and waited for her to drive through. Then
I scrounged in my purse for a smile card. She ran over with a check
and said, "Thank you so much. Here." Quickly I pushed
the check back into her hand and then handed her the smile card.
"Just pay it forward and have a great day." She said,
" I love you, thank you so much."
As she ran off, I yelled " I love you too." I waved and
drove off. It felt good to really help someone save some time and
then for her to give me love in return..I felt very warm inside.
